When friends and family members told Kim Kardashian-West that having two kids would be much different than rearing just one child, she didn’t know the world of difference two children would make. The ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star now understands.
“I’m up at 4 a.m., pumping and delirious, hiding in my daughter’s closet,” Kim wrote in her most recent #StraightUp blog post. The celebrity mom went on to tell fans that North would begin to cry “if she sees I snuck out of her bed” and “I think she gave me a cold.”
Although parenting for the first time had its share of challenges, nothing has compared to Kim adjusting to two little ones in the house. Of course, “I expected it to be different but, wow, it really is so hard,” the star admitted. “When I had North, all I did was feed and sleep. This time around, I get no sleep. Every waking second that I’m not with the baby, I’m with North. I actually think the harder parts aren’t with the newborn but with the toddler! I feel like I go into overdrive to give my daughter attention and make her feel loved.”
Thankfully, Kim has her husband, Kanye West, and North has her cousin, Penelope, to help out. “Kanye is super helpful, taking North out to dinners (just them!),” Kim shared. “I’m so lucky North looks up to Penelope a lot. She also has a baby brother so she gives North the best advice. I have the cutest video of P giving North a heart to heart about being a good big sister.”
North is Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s oldest child. She will celebrate her third birthday this summer. The Wests’ son, Saint, was born in December.
