On Sunday, December 13th, The Epps Foundation and 20th Century Fox hosted the Celebrity Family Sunday Funday Toy Drive & Screening of Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip . Celebrity parents from near and far brought their kids along for a Sunday Funday screening of the movie at AMC Century City 15 yesterday. Tia Mowry, Torrei Hart, Kym Whitley, Nick Young (Lakers), Brandon Bass (Lakers), actress Essence Atkins, Kamil McFadden (Disney KC Undercover), Miles Brown (ABC’s Blackish), Marsai Martin (ABC’s Blackish), Flex Alexander (OWN’s Flex & Shanice) were among the many stars to attend the event with their kids.
Along with many celebrities and their families in attendance, The Epps Foundation gave 20 single parent families from The Alexandria House, PATH Gramercy, Children’s Institute and Project Fly L.A. organizations a holiday treat of a lifetime. These selected families were treated to a red carpet experience along with a private advance screening of Alvin & The Chipmunks Road Chip, sponsored by 20th Century Fox. Children of these families were also surprised with an unwrapped toy, gifted by each celebrity in attendance.
Epps Foundation co-founders Mechelle and Mike Epps were excited to team up with 20th Century Fox to host this special event. With this event produced and coordinated by The Powerhouse Agency, The Epps Foundation was able to have a successful event for a special cause.
This latest installment of Alvin and the Chipmunks promises to be as hilarious as the first with even more adventure. The Chipmunks are taking their shenanigans on the road after determining that their dad, Dave, is going to propose to his girlfriend. The little ones go to every extreme to block the engagement only to learn that they have been mistaken and Dave has no intention of marrying his newly found girlfriend.
