Madonna and her son, David, were among thousands who came together at Place De La Republique to honor the victims of recent Paris attacks. The celebrity mom and her son gave their condolences and performed ‘songs for peace’.
Today marks nearly four weeks since the city of Paris was under siege by a group of terrorists who launched a series of attacks in various locations. One of the strikes took place at Bataclan theatre and claimed the lives of 89 civilians. In all, the November Paris attacks claimed the lives of 130 victims and is recognized as one of the most violent strikes in the history of France.
Instead of focusing on the tragedy, Madonna took time to encourage a brighter future. “Everybody knows why we’re here,” said the star during the memorial ceremony. The Pop singer then rendered a few selections with David by her side.
