Blue Ivy Carter is advancing her career. The toddler will be one of many stars featured on Coldplay’s new album.
“Everyone who got asked to sing on our album has an important part in our lives,” says group member Chris Martin. “We recorded Blue Ivy Carter in New York when her mom Beyoncé was in the studio.”
Beyonce, Blue’s mom, will also be featured on the record in a song that resembles that of Flo Rida and Lil Jon’s hits. “The original kernel was that I was listening to Flo Rida or something, and I thought, it’s such a shame that Coldplay could never have one of those late-night club songs, like ’Turn Down for What,'” explains Martin. “What would we call it if we had one,” the artist wondered. “I thought I’d like to have a song called ’Drinks on Me’ where you sit on the side of a club and buy everyone drinks because you’re so f****** cool.”
Blue’s debut in the music industry came just days after her birth in 2012. The little one was featured on her father Jay-Z’s record, ‘Glory.’ Her cries were heard around the world as she was showcased at the end of the recording. Blue is Beyonce and Jay-Z’s only child.
