Leah Still is strong and has a pair of boxing gloves from Floyd Mayweather to prove it. The star athlete gave the 5-year-old a pair of autographed gloves in honor of her winning her fight against cancer.
“Big s/o to @floydmayweather for the package I got today,” shared Leah’s father, Devon Still, on Instagram earlier this week. “I’ve always been a fan of boxing and Leah always watches it with me,” added the NFL player. “When she was diagnosed with cancer I told her she had to win every round (like boxers- mayweather to be exact) of chemo/treatment and she would win the fight against cancer. When @floydmayweather found that out he surprised Leah with an autographed glove for winning her fight and he threw in another glove for me to auction off at my first annual Still Strong Foundation Gala!”
Leah was diagnosed with cancer last summer. She battled long and hard with the illness before being deemed cancer-free earlier this year. Miss Still lost all of her hair during her fight with cancer, but is now enjoying life with healthy locs. “You can’t tell her she not poppin now that her hair is really coming back,” captioned Devon underneath a recent picture of his little one posing.
Leah is Devon’s only child. Stay tuned for more information about the Still’s upcoming gala!
