Jaden and Willow Smith were two of several young stars to attend this year’s Video Music Awards (VMA) at the Microsoft Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles on Sunday. The brother and sister were definitely unique in terms of fashion as Jaden wore a camouflage overcoat with black shorts while Willow rocked an outfit that resembled a NASA space suit.
Both of the teens wore smiles as they mingled with guests. Jaden spent a lot of time with his adoring fans who were thrilled to take selfies with the entertainer. Willow became a groupie herself upon meeting Jared Leto. The teen was exuberant while conversing with the artist.
Although they clearly had fun socializing with other attendees, the highlight of the ceremony came for Jaden when Kanye West gave his acceptance speech for the Video Vanguard Award. The teen held his fist high in support of the rapper who told guests that he was planning to run for president of the United States in 2020.
Kanye’s ideas are certainly in line with Jaden’s beliefs. It was just a few weeks ago that the young star told reporters that he was not willing to conform to societal norms. “Nobody ever thinks, ‘Yo who made all these rules? Who was here and made all these rules? Because, I’m equally as smart as them, and I don’t necessarily agree with all the rules that they established before I came into the picture,'” said the teen.
Jaden and Willow are Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith’s kids.
