Charlize Theron had the support of her favorite guys at the GenerationOn block party in Los Angeles this past weekend. The actress presented the William Morris Endeavor award to Points of Light charity with her son, Jackson, and boyfriend, Sean Penn, sitting in the audience. Jackson and Sean also enjoyed snow cones at the event. Sean even shared a bit of his frozen delight with Jackson. How cute!

While many women are in a rush to become parents while still in their 20s, Charlize told W magazine that becoming a mom later in life has been the better thing for her. “Choosing to be a mom in my late 30s has been really great for me. It’s given me perspective,” said Theron.
The star added, “I think, like many women, I was judgmental toward women as they aged. Women, in our society, are compartmentalized so that we start to feel like we’re cut flowers and after a while we will wilt. I realize now that’s not the case—we can celebrate every age. That’s my encouragement to 20-year-olds who are terrified of getting older: Don’t have a nervous breakdown and don’t hit the Chardonnay too hard. Getting older is not that bad.”
Jackson is Charlize’s only child. The actress adopted him in 2012. Theron will star in the highly anticipated Mad Max: Fury Road that is expected to make its public debut on May 15, 2015.
