Amandla is set to star in the NBC comedy series, “Mr. Robinson.” She will play the role of Halle Foster, a smart eighth grader who gets singing lessons from her substitute high school music teacher played by Craig Robinson.
The cast also includes Ben Koldyke, Meagan Good, Brandon T. Jackson, Spencer Grammer and Tim Bagley.
Stenberg made her movie debut in Tyler Perry’s “Why Did I Get Married Too?,” followed by a breakout role as Rue in the box office hit “The Hunger Games,” alongside Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson.
Mr. Robinson premieres August 5th on Wednesdays, 9/8C.
