Actress Eden-Duncan-Smith and friend, a young deejay by the name of Dj Beauty and The Beatz, walked the red carpet at “Black Girls Rock!” BET event at NJPAC Prudential Hall in Newark, New Jersey this past weekend.
Eden is set to make her Tribeca Film Festival debut at this year’s competition in the suspense film “Meadowland” starring Olivia Wilde, Luke Wilson, and Elisabeth Moss.
Portraying Wilde’s gifted but troubled student, Alma, Duncan-Smith’s delivers a soul stirring performance that is sure to turn heads and raise awareness about issues that affect young women. As the character Alma, Eden embodies what it means to be a socially aware teen in America, struggling with war, loneliness and low self-esteem.
The 2015 ‘Black Girls Rock!’ awards ceremony will air on BET on Sunday, April 5, 2015.
