Great news. Leah Still may be cancer free. Devon gave the update on his daughter’s battle on Tuesday.
“That moment you get the best news you’ve ever received and don’t know what to do so you just flex,” wrote the NFL star. Devon also posted a picture of Leah showing off her muscles. “We got Leah’s MIBG Scans back tonight and the doctors told us they didn’t see any active disease in her body,” continued the celebrity. “We still have to wait for her MRI and bone biopsy results later this week. But the doctors feel very optimistic about them because of the results from today. So for now we celebrate.”
All celebration came to a halt a few months ago, when doctors revealed that the surgery to remove cancerous cells from Leah’s body was not successful. “I wanted to hear so bad that my daughter’s cancer was gone and when I didn’t it hurt me bad,” shared Devon with social media fans. “I couldn’t even bring myself to tell my family the results without breaking down. I honestly just wanted to shut down from every one.”
Even though he wanted to “shut down,” Devon remained strong for his family, and Leah underwent more procedures. The 4-year-old has truly proven to be strong throughout the entire experience.
