Mimi Faust and her daughter, Eva, were two of many celebrities to come out and support breast cancer awareness at the ‘Women of Atlanta’ charity fashion show this past Sunday. The little one met her mother backstage after Mimi joined a number of other celebrity women who walked the runway in hopes of finding a cure for the disease.
“She came to support mommy,” said Mimi of her daughter. It is estimated that one in eight women will develop breast cancer during their lifetime. Many of these women can detect abnormalities by doing simple examinations at home every month. Breast cancer can also be prevented by eating wholesome food and exercising regularly.
Former ‘Project Runway’ designer Rafael Cox was the mastermind behind this year’s ‘Women of Atlanta’ fashion show. Proceeds from the event served to benefit the Susan G. Komen organization, which has received national recognition for its efforts in finding a cure for breast cancer. LaTavia Roberson, Meelah Williams and Tameka Raymond also walked the runway during this year’s show.
Eva is Mimi Faust’s only child with recording artist Stevie J.
