Picture Perfect family! Essence Atkins cuddles up to her husband Jaime Mendez and son Varro in an adorable family photo. “This dude is only 2! How does he have swag already?” Atkins recently remarked on Twitter of her soon-to-be 3 year old son.
The actress has been revelling in motherhood and has said that being a mom ” is a constant reminder of the miracle of life. Daily I am witness to a literal first time discovery and my spirit is convicted of the fact that I too am just beginning.”
Essence and husband Jamie Mendez married in 2009. The couple welcomed their son in December of 2011.
