Alicia Keys is creating memories that she will one day tell her little one. The expectant singer recently blogged about her experience in Glasgow, where she made new friends and delivered a powerful performance of her hit song ‘We Are Here.’
“A letter for my fam about a weekend in Glasgow,” wrote Keys to her 4-year-old son, Egypt, and husband. “I will someday definitely tell the new baby all about it.”
Alicia told her family about rehearsal and the electrifying night that empowered her to take her message of peace even further. “The city was electric with EMA madness and it was fantastic to be a part of all the excitement,” exclaimed the star. “When it was time to perform WE ARE HERE, I felt a connection between us that was almost surreal. And that’s the thing about this song. It equalizes us. And no matter who we are, or where we’re from, we can all feel it! Somehow I felt it more powerfully than ever that night in Glasgow.”
Keys is expecting her second child with husband Swizz Beatz. The couple is expecting their bundle of joy to arrive next month.
