Alicia Keys stopped by the Today Show earlier this morning to perform her new single, “We Are Here,” and to talk about how she’s feeling with her second pregnancy.

“I’m so good, really strong, and also inspired,” the mom-to-be said. She also added that her son Egypt Dean, who will turn four in October, is looking forward to becoming a big brother. “Egypt is good.”
As for her new single, Keys explained that world events inspired her to write the soulful song.
“With the backdrop of everything that’s going on in the world and the frustration that I think we’re all feeling as people, we’re wondering what we can all do about it. We all have a voice, but how can it be used?” she said. “I really just want this song to be the dialogue that makes us ask ourselves, ‘Why are we here? What are we here to do?’ Because if we can start that dialogue with ourselves, it can start a bigger conversation about how we actually can bring change to the world.”
Keys and her husband Swizz Beatz are expecting their second child in December.
