Kelly Rowland told Ebony magazine that it has been easy to remain joyful during her pregnancy. She’s full of positive energy, and it shows. When it comes to style, Kelly has always had fun being daring so it’s no surprise that she seems to have a casual approach to pregnancy style as well.
“I’m trying to stay comfortable and cool”, the singer recalled explaining to someone who doubted her decision to rock a vintage Marilyn Monroe tank. Her bottom line is that women should make their comfort a priority when it comes to pregnancy style. “You know those really cute jeans that you were able to fit like a couple of months ago?” she told Huffington Post, “They don’t fit the same. I’ve been able to go on a nice little shopping spree, and at A Pea in the Pod I found the cutest stuff!”
And then there is her beautiful skin. “Everyone keeps telling me, ‘Beware of stretch marks.’ And they’re scaring me a bit”, Kelly admitted. But she’s on it with a combination of coconut oil, cocoa butter, and shea butter – products she wholeheartedly relies on. “I’m pretty much looking like a piece of fried chicken right now. But I really have my grandma to thank. She gave me and all the women in my family such a lovely gift.”
Kelly is now the spokeswoman for Caress heading a campaign meant to inspire women to live more fabulously. The #AmpYourFab contest asks women to submit their selfies online to encourage them to find their fabulous in the everyday.
“I think what I love most about the campaign is that it inspires women to enjoy everyday experiences”, she explained to Ebony. The mommy-to-be added, “Sometimes we find ourselves doing the same thing, the same routine—same hair, same makeup or same workout. It becomes the same, and it’s really important to shake things up a bit. [Caress] came with this fresh collection. I feel like your scent sets the tone of your day. I’ve been taught that from my mom since I was a kid. She always said, ‘You smell good, you look good, you feel good’.”
