Recent photos of two-year-old Blue Ivy have sparked controversy and blown up social media newsfeeds. Parents, megastars Beyonce and Jay-Z, have been accused of letting their daughter’s hair go unkept. There is also a Change.org petition circulating regarding the little girl’s mane.
The petition is going as far as calling Blue’s hair “matted dreads and lint balls.” The Change.Org petition reads:
As a woman who understands the importance of hair care. It’s disturbing to watch a child suffering from the lack of hair moisture. The parents of Blue Ivy. Sean Carter a.k.a Jay Z and Beyoncé have failed at numerous attempts of doing Blue Ivy’s hair. This matter has escalated to the child developing matted dreads and lint balls. Please let’s get the word out to properly care for Blue Ivy hair.
The petition was not taken very seriously at first- starting with less than two dozen signatures. Now more than 1,500 “concerned” people have signed off.
