Tamar Braxton is loving every bit of motherhood. The singer recently told Billboard that her son helps her keep order.
“Motherhood is the best thing that every happened to me,” said Tamar. “It kind of puts everything into perspective. There’s time to work, there’s time to be a wife and there’s time to be a mother, and that’s what comes first to me.”
Braxton was adamant about spending quality time with her son, despite being in high demand in the entertainment sphere. “If Logan is sick or if he needs anything, I stop everything and tend to him and make sure he’s taken care of before anything else gets handled,” shared the star.
With so many listeners liking her Love and War album, which took the first spot on the Billboard charts in 2012, Tamar has considered making a follow-up recording to accompany the hit CD. “We’ve actually started recording some [songs] already, and I’m really excited about it,” shared the artist with Billboard. “I’ve written about maybe 10 or 12 song, and I really, really love four of them.”
Braxton further explained, “Right now I’m in a place where I’m really happy, and sometimes I’m overwhelmed, but at the end of the day I’m just trying to balance it all and understand myself as a woman. So those are the songs I’m writing right now, but I can’t say whether that’s going to be the end result.”
Tamar and husband Vincent Herbert are the proud parents of one child. Logan Vincent Herbert was born on June 6, 2013. He will celebrate his first birthday on Friday.
