Sy’rai Smith has a set of pipes on her! The daughter of Brandy Norwood was recently recorded while singing the national anthem, and she hit some notes that famous singers have a hard time executing.
Brandy asked her daughter to give the camera a taste of what she could do and Sy’rai didn’t hold back. The tween sang “O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave,” making sure to do a run at the end of “free” and “brave” that was filled with control and tone.
Many commented on Sy’ra’s talent after watching the video numerous times. One Instagram fan said, “Ugh @4everbrandy I dun watched this video over 30 times now… This don’t make any sense! My girl killed a few artist out with that riff and that run.” Another wrote, “You go girl that’s a beautiful voice.” Even Brandy was a bit shocked at her daughter’s ability yelling, “Whoa!” right before Sy’rai got nervous and put her hand in front of the camera.
Watch Sy’rai blow here! The tween is Brandy’s only child with ex-boyfriend Robert “Big Bert” Smith.
