Ciara is letting her bump shine through these days. The singer recently participated in a photo shoot for W magazine that featured her and her protruding stomach in a white dress that hugged every curve. Ciara looked fabulous in the dress and was sure to bring attention to her midsection by placing her hands near her bump.
The ‘Body Party’ singer has been feeling a touch of liberation as of late, telling W that her “growing basketball” has allowed her to embrace her imperfections. “People are going to be like, ‘What are you doing,’” says the star of her picture. “[But] it feels good to not have to wonder whether your abs are tight enough. “I like not being so perfect.” Ciara goes on to discuss her pregnancy experience telling media, “This is one of those moments you can’t repeat. My mom and I don’t have a lot of photos of my early years. So I decided we should document everything.”
Although labor and delivery often empowers women, Ciara reveals to W that she already feels like she can conquer the world. “I consider myself superwoman,” explains the star. “You don’t know your child until they get here, you don’t know their personality. There is a lot of learning to do.”
So what if Ciara learned that her child, like herself, is a born superstar? “If that’s what their heart yearns for, then I’m down. I believe in allowing your child to be who they want to be—as long as they want to be something great.”
While eating whatever comes to mind has been enjoyable, Ciara tells W that she plans to hit the gym after giving birth. “As soon as the body says hit the gym, I’m gonna hit the gym,” says the star. “I’ve been having a lot of food fun.”
Ciara and fiance Future are expecting their first child to arrive in coming weeks.
