Actress Garcelle Beauvais and her sons joined thousands of book lovers at the LA Times Book Festival this past weekend. Beauvais was one of many authors to debut her newest book, I Am Living in Two Homes, and sign a few copies for anxious fans.
“I AM so excited to announce the second in our @IAmBookSeries #IAmLivingin2Homes A children’s book that helps our little ones navigate through the complexities of divorce & separation through the eyes of a child,” wrote Beauvais on Instagram. “Available now on Kindle…iBooks and Nook coming soon.”
Garcelle’s sons joined her at the book festival, and were every bit of excited to see their mom’s newest book sold out in one sitting. “My Mom Signing Books @ The #USCBOOKFAIR #IAMMIXED #GREATDAY #SOLDOUT #SOPROUD #MYMOM,” tweeted the actress’ oldest son, Oliver, after the event.
The LA Times Book Festival returned to the University of Southern California (USC) campus for the sixth year in a row. The fair was previously held on UCLA’s campus in Brentwood, California but was moved to USC, which is closer to Downtown Los Angeles, in 2008. T.C. Boyle, famous author and professor at USC, commented on the book festival’s new found home saying, “The feel of the fest is more intimate here, whereas at UCLA things were far too spread out and the overall feel was more exclusive and cold. The USC venue seems to make it much more [of] a community celebration.”
The Los Angeles Times has hosted its book festival annually for nearly twenty years. I Am Living in Two Homes is Garcelle Beauvais’ second installment in her I AM series. The actress has three kids in all.
