Tonya Pinkins and son Manuel,15, enjoyed late night at the theatre earlier this week as they attended the opening performance of Broadway’s ‘Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar & Grill’ in New York City. The actress and her son showed much appreciation for the artistry and effort that the entertainers put into making the stage performance a success. Audra McDonald was the center of attraction during the play, as the storyline revolved around her character.
Pinkins will get a taste of the stage later this year as she portrays Mrs. Weston in the upcoming play, ‘Holler If Ya Hear Me.’ Inspired by the creativity of the late Tupac Shakur, ‘Holler If Ya Hear Me’ tells the story of a group of people dealing with the everyday struggles that come along with living in the inner city. Saul Williams, John Earl Jelks, and Otis Cotton will also star in the production.
Tonya Pinkins has gained much popularity from her role as Livia Frye on ‘All My Children.’ The actress has four kids in all.
