Tyrese and Shay are two of a kind. The father and daughter were a matching pair this past weekend while lounging around the house and going out to dance. Tyrese and his daughter wore Addidas sweatsuits around the house and later rocked NASA gear at the Daddy-Daughter dance. “Everyone needs someone to look up to,” shared Tyrese along with pictures on Instagram.
The all-around entertainer recorded a bit of playtime with his daughter earlier this week where he asked Shay why she wanted to match him in outer wear. “Why do you have on my outfit,” asked Tyrese. “They’re mine,” replied Shay. “You know how corny that is, that I’m putting on one outfit and you’re going to go put on the same thing? Like, c’mon man. Who wants to wear the same clothes?” The actor and singer’s daughter simply replied with, “Me.”
Tyrese challenged fathers everywhere to spend time with their children. “Make a commitment to connect and reconnect with your kids,” said the singer. “President Obama has created a new standard for us as fathers. I admire him and look up to him, [and] I hope to meet him still to this day. If he can make time to spend time with his kids and he’s running the United States of America as well as a bunch of stuff overseas, we actually don’t have no excuse; especially as Black (African American) fathers.”
