K. Michelle is working hard to be a good role model to her son. The singer recently shared a piece of her journey as a single mother with media, telling the press that she strives to positively impact Chase.
“Children look at what they see growing up, so I’m very positive around my son. I tell him to treat women with respect, we don’t yell…we don’t hit women, and he knows that.” The recording artist went on to say, “Going through a lot with men and having a son, that’s a big challenge. You don’t wanna be so bitter that he looks at you and say, ‘I don’t like women or are all women like this?'”
In related news, K. Michelle recently got advice from 6-year-old preacher Mir Mir who told her that it was impossible for her to raise a fully grown man. “K. Michelle, you can’t raise a man,” said the young preacher. “God is the one whose making the man. You gon’ get a man. One time you gon’ get a man.” Mir Mir reassured her, “You ain’t got to raise him. His mother’s gon’ raise him.”
K. Michelle is currently promoting her new single, “Can’t Raise a Man,” which has already experienced Billboard success. The singer and her son are expected to be featured on their own reality show in coming months.
