Joshua is doing more for Kym Whitley than teaching her how to be a parent. The actress recently told media that her toddler-aged son has propelled her career in Hollywood forward.
“I get offers now,” said Kym. “You can talk about reality TV if you want to, but guess what? It was a big commercial for Kym Whitley.”
Whitley went into detail about her and Joshua’s experience with a reality show telling media, “People come up to me all the time and say ‘I love your show.’ I’ve thought my show would be a sitcom or a talk show. Never in a million years would I have thought my show would be docu-series/reality because you always think reality is something crazy. We can have the crazy but we can also give to people. I’m very excited about the show because if I can make people laugh and they learn, I’ve done my job.”
Joshua is Kym Whitley’s first son. He appears on every episode of ‘Raising Whitley,’ which airs weekly on OWN’s network.
