How’s Christmas in Washington? President Obama can tell you. The Chief of Staff recently shared a series of pictures with his blog fans that showed him and the family basking in the joys of the season during the taping of TNT’s ‘Christmas in Washington’ at the National Building Museum.
Sasha and Malia stood by their mom and dad as they talked with kids from the Children’s National Medical Center. One of the kids was completely fascinated with Michelle Obama, making faces while looking the first lady’s way. All of the children, dressed up as elves, gave gifts to the First Family that will be given to kids who are currently admitted to the Children’s National Medical Center as patients. Ironically enough, the givers were kids who spent a night or two in the hospital for illnesses in the past. Talk about paying it forward!
It was just a few days ago that the President and First Lady hosted the annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony on Capitol Hill. The Chief of Staff had several celebrities who gave spectacular performances to the crowd. Monroe, Mariah Carey’s daughter, was one lucky toddler as she got to shake hands with the President at the event.
Sasha is the President and First Lady’s youngest daughter, while Malia is the eldest. The Obamas will be featured with the kids from Children’s National Medical center when TNT airs its ‘Christmas in Washington’ special on December 20, 2013.
