Early retirement may be in Chris Paul’s view. The basketball star recently told CBS Sports that he would consider hanging up his jersey early if it gave him an opportunity to comfortably spend more time with his kids.
“Nobody loves to play basketball more than I do, but I could honestly see myself stopping a little earlier or maybe premature just because I hate to miss anything with my kids,” explained Paul. “I would hate for my kids to, you know, recall those special moments in their life and I wasn’t there.”
Even though those monumental moments (graduations, proms, and so on) are down the road, Chris has made every effort to ensure that he and his son spend lots of time together now. Chris often takes his son on outings that require his presence, and brings him into the locker room after games. The NBA star has two kids, Chris II and Camryn Alexis, with wife Jada Crawley-Paul.
