It’s the Currys in China as NBA star Stephen Curry trains for another great season of basketball and enjoys a bit of the scenery with his family. The Golden State ‘Warriors’ player recently told his supporters that he was in China for training and was happy to have his wife, Ayesha, and daughter, Riley, along.
“It’s great to have Ayesha and Riley with me on this trip,” said Curry in his diary. “Obviously, we’re working and still in training camp, but it’s a nice little trip for us to enjoy each other’s company. Riley (who is about 1 ½) probably won’t remember this, but it will be nice to show her pictures, and she’ll get some cool dresses while she’s out here and be able to show off some Chinese culture when she gets back home.”
Curry commented on the celebrity treatment that he and his teammates received upon their arrival to Beijing telling the San Francisco Gate, “They had airport crew on the jet way, and they were taking pictures when we came off the plane. They were excited to see us. The security guards interlocked arms and basically made man-made barricades to create an alleyway to walk through the fans at the airport. There were a good amount of fans there, but they did a good job of patrolling it. We got to wave and say “hi” to everybody as we walked to the buses. It was a pretty cool scene.”
Stephen and Ayesha wed in 2011, and welcomed their daughter into the world the following year. Riley is the couple’s first child together.
