Wynter loves ice cream and encourages your kids to love it too. The 4-year-old recently took a picture while sporting a simulation of the delightful dessert on her head, advertising for mom’s new venture known as ‘Ice Cream Heads.’
Contrary to what some may believe, Wynter is not actually wearing ice cream in the photo above. She is, rather, showing off her mom’s product which is shampoo and conditioner created in the form of ice cream. Jeffrey Phelps, co-creator of the product, gives details about the conception process on the company’s site.
“Two years ago, as we watched our then two year-old daughters Kate and Wynter licking ice cream cones, Britttany told me about the lack of good hair care products that worked on Wynter’s thick, curly hair,” explains Phelps. “Wynter didn’t like washing and conditioning her hair because it was always tough to comb through after the bath. My problem was different—the very mention of the bath made Kate run in the opposite direction. I was still using baby shampoo on Kate’s fine hair, but it was a struggle to get her in the bath.”
The stay-at-home dad went on to say, “We decided to find a common solution for our problems—create a shampoo and conditioner that made our kids WANT to get into the bath, a shampoo and conditioner that could condition and detangle curly hair but still be gentle enough for thin, fine hair. ‘Too bad we can’t wash their hair with ice cream,’ I said, half-joking with Brittany, who looked at me with wide eyes . . . and Ice Cream Heads Shampoos and Conditioners was born.”
Ice Cream Heads is created especially for little ones and is formulated to take the ‘Ouch!’ and bore out of the washing process. You can find out more about the product on the company’s website.
Brittany and Harold Perrineau have three kids-Aurora, Wynter, and Holiday-together.
