This past weekend, recording artist and songwriter Ne-yo and his family hosted the annual “Fostering A Legacy” event, a benefit that serves to honor the creativity and strength of children in foster care.
Photographer Johnny Nunez and actor Louis Gossett Jr. were at the center of the affair as they were honored by Ne-Yo and his organization, Compound Foundation, for their efforts in foster care. “I truly admire Louis Gossett Jr. for his bold initiative to adopt his son when he was in need. Johnny Nunez, who has been an advocate of our cause for years and Stuart Snyder, an active supporter of the foundation, are both well-respected individuals who we cannot thank enough. It is only right we honor these extraordinary men at this year’s benefit,” said Ne-Yo of his guests of honor. ”
Ne-Yo has told media that his daughter is an independent tot who often picks out her own clothes. “We’ll give her a couple options, lay a few out on the bed, and she’ll go, ‘No dada, not that one, this one!’ She picks her own clothes, puts her own outfits together. It’s amazing,” said the artist.
Ne-Yo and the mother of his children, Monyetta Shaw, are parents to Madison and Mason. Check out more pictures of the family at the ‘Ne-Yo and Mission BIG’s Farewell Brunch’ below.
