LeBron James is once again MVP, and has his family and team members to thank. The Miami ‘Heat’ player recently stood center stage with his sons, LeBron Jr. and Bryce, as he was named Most Valuable Player for the fourth time in his career. Bryce and LeBron Jr. stood proud as their dad thanked the many people who have helped him reach another milestone in his career.
LeBron is the first player in NBA history to have received 120 out of 121 votes for MVP crowning. The athlete joked about the divided vote telling the press, “It was probably a writer out of New York that didn’t give me that vote. And we know the history between the Heat and the Knicks, so I get it.”
Although excited about being deemed MVP, James still has his eyes on the prize of an NBA championship. “My ultimate goal is to win an NBA championship,” explained the player. “That’s what I was brought here for. That’s why I signed here as a free agent in 2010. It wasn’t to win MVP trophies. It was to win a championship — and win multiple championships — and that’s still my No. 1 priority.”
LeBron and fiancee Savannah Brinson have two kids together. The couple have been in courtship since high school and are planning to wed later this year.
