David Otunga Sr. may travel a lot but there’s no place like home for this WWE star who recently moved to the suburbs with fiancee Jennifer Hudson and son David Otunga Jr. The wrestler-turned-actor recently talked with the Chicago Tribune about family and life as a rising movie star.
When asked about his decision to move to suburbia David Sr. said, “We wanted our son to have a yard where he could run around and play. Honestly, I love having that space. And wrestling is so hectic and we’re always in big cities [so] it’s nice to be able to go to the suburbs and tuck away at home.”
Although he’s celebrated and supported Jennifer’s career for years, David Sr. told the Tribune that it’s nice to get a bit of recognition for the work that he does in the entertainment industry. “People want to know more about me,” explained the actor. “They want to know who I am. It’s cool to finally have that attention. … That’s something I tried to do from the beginning — to be my own person. I wanted to do different things and try to establish myself. It’s great to get recognized for that.”
David Sr. and Jennifer have one child, David Jr., together. The couple plan to wed in the near future.
