Dwyane Wade didn’t let All-Star weekend go by without doing something good. The NBA star hosted a charity luncheon, with sons Zaire and and nephew Dahveon by his side, to raise funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Houston Early Age Risk Testing & Screening (HEARTS) establishment.
The Miami ‘Heat’ player was glad to put on the benefit in between practices and the big game telling the press, “I live by the motto, ‘To whom much is given, much is required. That’ why it’s important for me to give back to the community.” Several celebs, including Pat Riley and Spike Lee, were in attendance at the luncheon and gave Wade kudos for hosting.
This year’s All-Stars game was held on Sunday, February 17, 2013. The West beat out the East this year with a 143-138 win.
