Kevin Hart brought all of his humor to the ‘Wendy Williams Show’ for a sit-down interview that was filled with thrills and spills. The comedian talked about all things family, including his desire not to raise child stars.
Although he has a big personality onscreen and center stage, Kevin described himself as pretty laid back. “I’m a low-key guy,” said the actor. “When I am home, I am with my kids. I’m in the house. I love being a dad. When I’m home it’s all about being a dad.”
Hart couldn’t help but gush about his kids telling Wendy, “My daughter [Heaven] is seven, my son [Hendrix] is five. My daughter hates for people to ask for pictures. She’s a daddy’s girl… She’s a H.A.M. My son is a little slower,” he said jokingly. “I don’t know what’s going on. Boys catch up a little later.”
Although he, like many parents, believes that his kids would make great entertainers, Kevin does not want Heaven and Hendrix going down the road of a child/teen star. “I feel like child stars all end up crazy with the exception of of Keisha Knight Pulliam. I know her. She is sane,” said Hart. “A lot of them are crazy or on drugs so I don’t want my kids going down that path. I try to keep them away from it, but at the same time, they are in it because they understand what their dad does. I bring them to sets. If I got a show or if I am doing a TV show, movies, whatever, they understand what their father does because I want them to know if I am busy, this is why. But I don’t want them in the business right now.”
Heaven and Hendrix are Kevin and ex-wife Torrei’s children.
