Naijiel Hale, son of the late Nate Dogg, is making serious headway in football. The high school sensation is not only making a mark at his home school in Lakewood, but is also capturing the attention of a few colleges looking for a good corner back next year.
Hale recently told the press that he has been in communication with the coaches of Oregon State University. “I actually got an email from Coach (John) Neal of Oregon,” said the high school star. “They were really interested in me and he was going to take a trip here in a couple of weeks and keep in touch. Oregon is my top school and that’s been my dream school and they know that.” Naijiel has also caught the eye of scouts from the University of Southern California (USC) and other schools in the Northwest.
Hale’s father, Nate Dogg, passed away in 2011 from complications of having multiple strokes within a year’s time. The rapper’s good friend, Snoop Dogg, has taken Naijiel under his wing since Nate’s death.
