JAMES, WADE, AND BOSH HONOR SANDY HOOK VICTIMS WITH KIDS BY THEIR SIDE

Lebron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh came together with their children to honor the victims of Newtown, Connecticut who were gunned down at Sandy Hook Elementary on Friday (December 14). The three basketball stars joined the crowd in a moment of silence before Saturday’s game against the Washington ‘Wizards,’ showing deep sorrow for all of the violence that took place.

“Basketball, this is nothing. These games are nothing compared to when you have a tragedy like that,” said James after the game. “It sucks that sometimes you need a tragedy to put things back in perspective, to appreciate what you have. But it does that to people. It’s unfortunate that you have to have something like that to understand what’s really important and some things that aren’t important at all. Family is the No. 1 important thing in life.”

Dwyane Wade, a father of two and captain of the ‘Heat,’ also commented on the massacre saying, “The team is very close, and we all have kids. So everyone’s affected by it.” The Sandy Hook shooting claimed the lives of 26 adults and children. President Obama has asked all government facilities to hang the flag at half staff until further notice in honor of the victims.
