Director Spike Lee and son Jackson Lee attended the “Bad” And Jaeger-Le Coultre – Glory To The Filmmaker 2012 Award photocall during the 69th Venice Film Festival on August 31, 2012 in Venice, Italy. Lee was honored with the Jaeger-LeCoultre Glory to the Filmmaker award while at the event.
“Spike Lee is a bold creative spirit, the author of daring and corrosive films, often unpredictable and provocative in the best sense of the term. Films that challenge us to rethink our prejudices and our preconceptions,” director of the Venice Film Festival Alberto Barbera said in a statement.
Following the award ceremony, Lee debuted his new documentary “Bad”, which is a film about the 25th anniversary of the late Michael Jackson’s “Bad” album.
