SNOOP DOGG CHANGES HIS NAME AND STYLE OF MUSIC FOR CHILDREN

Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr. has changed his name from Snoop Dogg to Lion, and is hoping to give his children music they can enjoy. “Rap isn’t challenging; it’s not appealing,” said the rapper at a news conference in New York City on Monday. “Reggae was calling … it’s a breath of fresh air. I’ve got to give [my kids] something. That’s what you do when you’re wise.”

Snoop also commented on the negative effect that guns have imposed on various communities. “It’s so tragic that people are doing stupid things with guns,” said Snoop Lion.

As such, the musician and his daughter Cori Broadus have collaborated on a song called “No Guns Allowed.”

“No guns allowed in here tonight, we’re going to have a free for all, no fights” are the lyrics to the reggae-infused track.

Snoop is the proud father of three children. Cori, Snoop’s only daughter, works in the entertainment industry as a singer.
