Carmelo Anthony along with LaLa Vazquez and their son Kiyan,5, strike a pose around Carmelo’s waxed figurine on Tuesday, June 26, 2012. The New York ‘Knicks’ player placed the privilege of having a statue made in his honor at the top of his list of great accomplishments. On his list of hopefuls is an NBA championship.
Although the ‘Knicks’ didn’t win the title this year, Anthony predicts that the team will become champs in the near future. “I believe my time is coming. I’m a big believer in that. Whether this year or next year, I truly believe our time is coming. We’re going to keep playing for that,” said Carmelo at the statue’s unveiling. “I’m exceeding expectations. [My teammates are] actually excited how much hard work I’ve put in since the season ended,” added the player.
Carmelo and LaLa will celebrate two years of marriage next month. Kiyan is the couple’s only child together.
