Marvin II is fresh out of high school and on his way to Morehouse! The eldest son of eight-time-Grammy-nominated singer Marvin Sapp graduated from high school earlier this week, and is set to begin his college career at Morehouse in the Fall. Proud papa Marvin Sapp posted his son’s accomplishment to Facebook the day before graduation saying, “@Marvsappjr graduates tomorrow and I’m his commencement speaker…. Very Proud Dad…. Morehouse here he comes!!!!!![sic]”
Marvin II gets his smarts from both parents as his father is pastor of Full Life Center Church in Grand Rapids, MI, and his mother, the late Malinda Sapp, was a professor.
Pastor Sapp has been fairing quite well since his wife’s death in 2010. His newest album, ‘I Win’ is a declaration of triumph after having to endure such tragic loss. “After all the stuff I’ve had to endure over the last five years, I felt like I needed to make a declaration and be open and honest about how I feel about everything that I’ve had to overcome,” says Sapp. “When I look back at it, I wasn’t as swift as I should have been. Probably wasn’t as fast as I could have been, but because I endured I won.”
Marvin Sapp is the proud father of three children in all.
