T.I. and Tiny rendered a shock to television land this past season when they decided to bring their lives to the forefront on ‘T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle. Both fans and critics saw what T.I. was really like as cameras recorded random moments of the rapper’s life.
Although he doesn’t consider himself to be one who searches for loads of publicity, T.I. felt it necessary to do a reality show with his family. “I just think it was time for people to see who I was as a man,” said the rapper, “For people to see who I was as a man and not taking advantage of the opportunity to pull from small moments in my life and have that be a blanket to judge me. I wanted them to say, ‘these are just isolated incidents. As a whole this is who he is as a man.’ I needed to offer them that opportunity.”
When not taping for ‘The Family Hustle’, T.I. and his wife Tiny are managing the OMG Girlz. During a conversation with The Breakfast Club, T.I. was asked if he was worried that the girl group would surpass him in the industry and of course he said, “[No].This is what everyone fails to realize. I want out. What the game is going to, from a personality standpoint, it goes against what I represent. What I embody, this game contradicts that. I’m in it because I love music and I have obligations.”
Fans who loved season one of T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle should be on the lookout for round two of the show, currently in production. T.I. and Tiny parent six children in all.
