Some mothers pass down jewelry, some pass on quilts. Halle is is giving her shoes to her daughter Nahla,4.
“I think shoes after something that, through time, will always come back in fashion again. I had shoes my mother gave to me from the 1970s that I wore a few years ago. So yes, I’m thinking of that for my daughter,” she said in a recent interview.
Nahla definitely won’t have to worry about shoes in the future since her mother is completely addicted to the wear. As Halle explains, “I’m pretty addicted. I have thousands of pairs and I have a real relationship with them. I think many women do. Shoes are like a good hairdo; they reflect how we feel. If you’re feeling sexy, fun, sporty, if you’re feeling casual … your shoes say a lot about you. I have a storage room where I keep them all, in their boxes with a picture of each pair taped to the outside. I’m pretty obsessive.”
In related news, the Oscar-winning actress wants to move to France to flee the paparazzi.
“It’s not one photographer hiding in the bushes, it’s 20, 30 very close to us, causing commotion,” she explainsExtraTv. “I’m not complaining about me. I’m an adult; I can handle it. But children should not be subject to that. It’s just wrong.”
Halle continued: “There are laws like [that] in France, which is the reason I want go there. Laws that protect children, protect right to privacy. All I want is for my family and myself to have a normal life. When I’m not at work, that’s very important to me.”
