Former X Factor contestant Brian “Astro” Bradley,15, has reportedly signed a contract with Epic Records and is well on his way to success. Although eliminated, Astro was known for his unique ability to create and present new material each week while competing on the X Factor.
When commenting about his new record deal Astro said, “I’m excited to continue my journey with L.A. Reid and his staff at the new Epic Records. The first time L.A. saw me he said I’d be a star, and I can’t wait to get to work and prove him right. 2011 was Dope, but 2012 is gonna be Epic!”
In addition to securing a music contract, the young rapper has also scored an acting role. Astro will portray a troubled teen in an unnamed film that also stars Taraji P Henson. Bradley says, “I just played a kid named Darren. They killed my brother in the streets and I felt the cops wasn’t givin’ justice and I just went about it myself. You gotta watch it to see. It’s me… it’s basically how I would act if somebody killed my brother. I’m not going to wait on the police, I’m going to retaliate on my own. It’s a pretty good acting role for me. I’m tryin’ to get my Will Smith on.”
