Rapper Ludacris, along with his daughter Karma, arrived just in time for Christmas with coats and winter wear for hundreds of children. The rapper along with his foundation and NFL player Jonas Jennings distributed hats, scarves, earmuffs, and other winter necessities to nearly 300 children at the 2012 edition of Coats for Christmas charity effort. The children were also given dinner and invited to participate in various activities at the event.
For ten years Ludacris along with his foundation have supported the Atlanta community with various donations and special events. The rapper was happy to give children the bare necessities for winter. He was also pleased with the amount of media attention that the giveaway received. Ludacris states, “We appreciate you covering this event because it allows us to show others the positive things we’re doing in the community, which allows us to lead by example.”
The 2012 edition of Coats for Christmas event was hosted by the College Park Housing Authority. The giveaway took place in the recreational room at the Rhunette Lindsay Senior Complex and Jack Longino Senior Mid-Rise Buildings.
