Tia talked about all things motherhood, including a few surprises that came along the way.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Surprises in motherhood. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The first thing that surprised me was the lack of sleep &#8212; I didn\u2019t realize I would be so fatigued! I also never knew how much love I would have for Cree; it is just so overwhelming and over pouring, and so unconditional! The last thing is that I didn\u2019t realize how fast they grow! By the time you buy a pair of shoes, they can only wear it once or twice before it\u2019s time to go get them another pair.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Balancing home life with work life.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I don\u2019t know if you can ever find balance &#8212; it\u2019s a constant ongoing struggle. I take everything an hour at a time, and a day at a time. I also try not to get too overwhelmed. Having a calendar or something you can write things down on has also been a life saver.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Personal time for Tia.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;[My husband and I] make time to go out to eat. It\u2019s so funny, a lot of people say &#8216;date night&#8217;  but when you have a child that wakes up at 5 o\u2019clock in the morning,  it\u2019s hard to go out at night. We try to do a lot of lunch dates &#8212; if  one of us isn\u2019t working or is on our break, we\u2019ll definitely meet up for  lunch.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>A special Mother&#8217;s Day wish.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;That both my son and myself and my family continue to stay healthy and happy.
