Several media reports reveal that the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) is delving further into the couple&#8217;s rearing practices after allegations of abuse spread a few months back.<\/p>\n<p>The investigation began with 15-year-old Maddox who was reportedly verbally and physically abused by his father on the family&#8217;s private plane. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) allegedly interviewed Angelina and the kids to determine if there was a case of mistreatment on Brad&#8217;s part. Since then, the investigation has been ongoing.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The DCFS investigation is now going to continue for at least several more weeks,&#8221; a source shared with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/entry\/brad-pitt-child-abuse-investigation-reportedly-expanded-to-focus-on-multiple-alleged-incidents_us_5810a016e4b08582f88ce30f\">media<\/a> earlier this month. Another family friend told <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/celebrity-news\/news\/inside-angelina-jolies-four-hour-meeting-with-the-fbi-w446540\"><em>Us Weekly<\/em><\/a> that FBI agents interviewed Angelina and the kids for the sole purpose of building their case. &#8220;The agents wanted a breakdown of everything that happened from when the plane took off to when it landed,&#8221; the source revealed. &#8220;They\u2019re looking into charges of assault.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>News of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie&#8217;s divorce spread a few weeks ago when <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2016\/09\/20\/angelina-joile-files-for-divorce-brad-pitt\/\"><em>TMZ<\/em><\/a> reported Angelina as the party requesting marriage dissolution. &#8220;Jolie filed legal docs Monday citing irreconcilable differences,&#8221; the media source shared with its readers. &#8220;She&#8217;s asking for physical custody of the couple&#8217;s 6 children. She is asking the judge to give Pitt visitation. It&#8217;s significant &#8230; she does not want Brad to have joint physical custody &#8230; only joint legal custody.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie&#8217;s separation came as a shock to many in Hollywood. It was just last year that the power couple told <em>TODAY<\/em> that Angelina&#8217;s decision to have her breast and ovaries removed to avert potential cancer development in the future. &#8220;There was no vanity to my wife&#8217;s approach.
