In honor of Black History Month. Cameron Boyce and Kamil McFadden recently paid homage to trailblazers in African American history on Disney Channel’s ‘Be Inspired.’ \u00a0 Via Press Release:<\/p>\n

A tribute to notable African-Americans who have influenced and inspired others to express themselves and to lead — Ella Fitzgerald, Janelle Monae, Gary Clark, Jr., Maya Angelou, Lee Daniels, Shonda Rhimes, Harry Belafonte, Jessie Williams and Viola Davis — is presented in a new “Be Inspired” interstitial designed to spark ideas and a sense of discovery for kids age 6-14.<\/p>\n

Popular young actor Kamil McFadden, star of “K.C. Undercover,” the #1 live-action series among Kids 6-11 and Girls 9-14, narrates the new installment which will be presented throughout February in commemoration of Black History Month on Disney Channel.<\/p>\n

It joins another “Be Inspired” segment featuring Cameron Boyce (“Gamer’s Guide to Pretty Much Everything,” “Descendants”) and his personal connection to “The Clinton 12,” the historical African-American teens who were first to integrate a public school in the South in 1956. Boyce’s grandmother, Jo Ann Allen Boyce, was among “The Clinton 12.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
