Ciara and Nayvadius Cash, a.k.a. Future, may no longer be a couple but the two remain cordial for the sake of their son.<\/p>\n

“We’re cool,” said the ‘I Bet’ singer during a recent interview with\u00a0The Breakfast Club.\u00a0<\/em>“We have a child together and I think, as a parent, it’s important to communicate.” Although the two no longer\u00a0talk everyday, Ciara and Future understand that their son “is clearly the connection” between them.<\/p>\n

While many would be bitter about experiencing such a public breakup, Ciara told media that she is grateful to have a child whom she loves to pieces. “The greatest joy in my life is my son,” said the star. “Honestly, I feel like everything in life happens for a reason and my son has been the greatest gift that God has given me in my life. He has been the most game-changing thing in my life in a necessary way.”<\/p>\n
