The NFL star recently shared his heart with the &#8216;Today&#8217; show about the incident that led to his suspension from the NFL and dismissal from the Baltimore &#8216;Ravens.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is something, you know, as a man you have to own and, we\u2019re horribly sorry, and I\u2019m horribly sorry for everything that I have to put my family through,\u201d <a href=\"http:\/\/www.today.com\/news\/ray-rice-seeks-second-chance-nfl-admits-mistake-not-apologizing-1D80323942\">said<\/a> the star during the interview. Janay stood by her husband&#8217;s side as he shared his concerns with media.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI still got to live every day, go take my daughter to school,&#8221; explained Ray. &#8220;She\u2019s going to grow up and the way the Internet works now she\u2019s going to Google her father\u2019s name and the first thing that\u2019s going to come up is, you know what\u2019s going to come up.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Ray came under much scrutiny after assaulting his wife in an elevator earlier this year. Janay, who was Ray&#8217;s fiancee at the time, was punched in the face by the NFL star after being involved in what could have been an argument.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I realize football was one thing, but now I realize that the amount of people we\u2019ve affected,&#8221; shared Ray during his interview with &#8216;Today.&#8217; The star athlete went on to say, &#8220;The amount of families we\u2019ve affected, that, you know, domestic violence is a real issue in society.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Ray Rice has been reinstated by the NFL after several weeks of suspension. The Baltimore &#8216;Ravens&#8217; opted not to take the player back.
