11-year-old Cori Broadus and her dad, rapper Snoop Dogg, have recorded a song tentatively titled “Never Give Up”.
“The song is complete. My husband mentioned that Cori was so professional and that he recorded with her faster than he had with anyone else!” Says Shante Broadus, Cori’s mom.
In 2005, Cori was diagnosed with lupus, a chronic autoimmune disorder that can attack any organ in the body.
“You always think it’s gonna happen to someone else. Some days in the studio, I’d just cry. it was the only zone i had to express myself,” revealed Snoop earlier this year.
He added, “My daughter is the love of my life. When she’d lay in bed saying, ‘My brain hurts,’ it bothered me so much. I felt helpless. No Power, no friends.”
For those battling Lupus and feeling helpless, Shante has a message for you: ” Like Cori and Snoop sing in their song, Never Give Up!”
