Miami Heat player Dwyane Wade says he is ready to give up his “partying” lifestyle if he is given sole custody of his two sons, ages 3 and 8. On Monday(October 18th), Dwayne headed to court to plead his case:
On a second day on the witness stand, Wade told the judge he has feared for his two young son’s lives in the hands of his ex-wife, who attended most of the five-hour court session Monday but did not speak with reporters. Wade, a native of suburban Robbins, testified that his ex-wife took his oldest son, who was complaining of headaches, to the emergency room in March. But she didn’t notify him until a day later that the boy and his brother wouldn’t be arriving in Miami as scheduled for a court-ordered weekend visit, he said.
“I got really afraid because I realized Siohvaughn … is not the Siohvaughn I know now,” he said of his former high school sweetheart. “I thought that she probably took them away, that she probably hurt herself or the kids.”
…Wade, who may be called back on the stand during the lengthy court proceedings, conceded he would have to change his lifestyle, make sacrifices and limit how many events he can attend.
“I’ve been able to party a little more,” Wade said of life without full custody of his children. Click here to read more
